Week of May 21 - 25

Sharing:  Talk about your summer plans.
 
Corrections to schedule on HW:  We will have Library on Wednesday 5/23 this week.  Students will not be able to check out books for the rest of the school year for inventory.  All library books are due back this Wednesday.
Due to field trip, we may not have computer lab time this week-trying to reschedule, day TBD.
 
Monday-PE:  bring water bottle and wear athletic shoes & clothing; kinders to cheer on Staff vs MCN kickball winners.
 
Tuesday- Literacy rotations
 
Wednesday-Library:  bring back all library books
 
Thursday--Field Trip-arrive by 8:15 with Cornerstone red shirts on.  Do not be tardy-bus loads at 8:20.  Pack a disposal lunch with NO NUT PRODUCTS.  Snack will be provided.
 
Friday--Dad's Donuts and K Fathers Day show; literacy rotations; 12:00PM Dismissal--arrive early to park and pick up at the classroom; there is no curbside pick up.
 
Monday, 5/28--No school in observance of Memorial Day

Correction to HW for the week:  PE will be on Tuesday NOT ON MONDAY due to K Round Up!

Mother's Day Fashion Show Update

Please bring in your child's Mother's Day costumes no later than Tuesday.  Label all items of clothing and put into a grocery bag with their name on it.  We need the costume for rehearsals this week.
 
Your child will bring home the costume on Wednesday afternoon.  Please dress them in their costumes before arriving to school on Thursday.
 

Support Student Council Toiletries Drive

Please bring in your toiletries for student council's collection for "GEMS" (support organization for homeless mothers and kids in need). Success ticket for donations sent in-take to Mrs. Rasmussen's class!  Thank you for your generosity!

Baby Photos and Mom & Me Photos Needed!

In preparation for our show we are putting together a special slide show. We need 2 pictures from each family: 1 of your child alone as a baby and 1 of mom and child that is more recent. Garden Assignments Now Due Wed., 3/21

Please bring in your plant by Wednesday, March 21. I am extending the deadline so that everyone can have enough time to get their plant.  For those who signed up for broccoli, it is unavailable for planting in the spring.  You can choose from the 3 other choices assigned to you.   For those who signed up for more than 1 plant, I picked one plant for you as space is limited in our K garden.
 
Thanks for helping our children get ready to experience hands-on botany!
